Creating 4·3-gil by linking the 4·3 historical site scattered around in the middle mountain

- Project Cost : KRW 120 million
- Project Method : Cooperation between civil (village) and administrative (province) level

Description : Subject village, 4·3-gil project plans (necessity of the project, self-composed course, primary operator, post-management method, etc.)
Selection Standard
• Possibility of linking the 4·3 historical site with nearby natural resources
• Business feasibility, business efficiency, etc.
- Procedure
Assessment of the created 4․3-gil’s management and operation status
- Period: Within February 2017
- Subjects: Three sites (Donggwang Village, Uigwi Village, and Buckchon Village)
- Participants: Province, Village Promotion Committee (including village chief and members of the war dead families
association), and 4·3 Working Level Committee (a subcommittee)
- Assessment Items
• 3 areas (facility/operation/marketing)
• 6 items (convenience of directional sign/4·3-gil cultural commentator/village coordination, etc.)
- Assessment results: Supplementing general matters such as facility improvement and marketing strategy, and establishing
an implementation plan for such actions
Assigning a cultural commentator of 4·3-gil to the three sites of 4·3-gil for always-on operation
- Operation period: Executing after acquiring the 1st supplementary budget (after July 2017)
- Location and personnel assignment: 4·3-gil three sites (Donggwang, Uigwi, and Buckchon), assigning not more
than two persons per site
- Assignment Principle
• Assigning village residents who completed the 4·3-gil cultural commentator education first
• Assigning personnel during weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Project Cost: KRW 15 million
